We have experience with a variety of project types from small residential additions, to commercial buildings, i.e. corporate headquarters, marinas, churches, banks, manufacturing facilities, thoroughbred stable and training facilities, custom homes, multi-family developments and condominiums.
Design Philosophy
Strong conceptual design is always required, and delivered, regardless of the complexity or scope of the project.
We are not locked into a particular “signature design style”. We believe that the completed
project should reflect the client’s needs and desires. We see ourselves as problem solvers. We
find tailoring the solution to the problem to be stimulating and exciting.
The acid test we apply to every design solution asks;
Have we met the functional requirements of the program?
Does the design have the proper scale?
Are the proportions pleasing to the eye?
Does the style maintain the contextual integrity of the existing building (for
addition/renovation projects), or the neighboring structures (for new construction)?
Project Budget
There is an economy of scale that can be applied to design that some designers fail to grasp. Our decision making always weighs the return relative to the expense of a component of design.
We will endeavor to alert our client to a creeping budget and trade-offs that can keep the project within budget.
